Informatix has continued to build on the enhancements of Piranesi 5.0, extending its power even further. By listening to your requests and adding their own expertise, Piranesi 5.1 improves the user interface even further making it easier than ever for you to learn and master. With 5.1 you can:

• Comprehensive range of tools, filters and effects
• Puts visualizing power on your desk, giving you complete control of impression look and feel

• Style recorder means that revised plans can mean revised impression in a matter of minutes

The power of Piranesi comes from its ability to combine different tools and effects together. Piranesi 5.1 enhances its power even further by promoting a number of tools and effects such as lock highlighting, stroke recording, and the new image cutout cursor. You can also now draw filled shapes and create arbitrary shaped planes

Piranesi now provides direct access to the extensive Google® 3D Warehouse providing a seamless link to the Sketchup® files which you can use as cutouts. Piranesi 5.1 also has full support for Sketchup 7 files.

Piranesi can now save and load colour palettes, so you can now download palettes from the internet, in Photoshop® or other formats, and load them directly into Piranesi. This gives you more control over your designs and impressions.

Piranesi 5.0 enabled you to automatically record styles used in a session. Piranesi 5.1 takes this a step further by recording your actual paint strokes as well. This means that you can ‘play back’ the same strokes in different views, maintaining a given theme or corporate look.

Both Piranesi and Vedute can now read FBX® files. This means that Revit® users can now easily work with Piranesi.

This is also the first simultaneous release of Piranesi on Windows® and Apple Mac OS X.

The new version of Piranesi has been developed to make the Piranesi experience more pleasurable, while offering new enhancements to enable customers to win more business.

A free copy of Piranesi 5.1 will be sent to everyone who has purchased Piranesi 5.0 since 1 March 2009.

Currently there is no difference in content between the commercial and educational versions of Piranesi.
