form.Z is a cross platform, design-oriented 3D application that combines surface and solid modeling, polygonal and smooth (resolution independent) modeling, NURBS and parametrics. form.Z includes 2D drafting, information management, raytrace and radiosity rendering, animation, an open architecture with an API and script language that offers further means for customization.

formZ RenderZone Plus includes photorealistic rendering based on the LightWorks® rendering engine. This package also includes radiosity based rendering, provided by the LightWorks® radiosity engine. With formZ RadioZity, the distribution of light in an environment can be simulated in a physically accurate manner.

The academic version of form.Z is the same as the professional version. However, it is offered at an academic discount for qualified users.

Limitations: Can't be used professionally. Can't be resold or transferred except to other academic personnel. Can be transformed into professional license by paying price difference. For students: transforms to professional license automatically 2 years after purchase or 6 months after graduation (whichever takes longer).

In order to purchase you must be enrolled as a full time student or be a full time teacher. If you are a teacher you must fax us a letter from your department head stating you are a full time teacher.
